FAQ
Questions, answered.
What Mune Mirror* measures, what a result can and cannot tell you, who runs the laboratory, and what happens to your data. If your question is not here, write to us at contact@joinmune.com and a person will answer.
What does it mean to reserve a price?
Buying opens later. For now you leave an email and the current tier's price is locked for your first Mune Mirror™ kit; you get a place number and a confirmation. No card, no charge, nothing to cancel. Reservations are free and non-binding. When ordering opens you get first access at your locked price.
How much does it cost, and when do I pay?
The regular price is $949. Until ordering opens, earlier reservations lock a lower price for the first kit, from $199 in the founding tier and stepping up as each tier's places are taken; today's tier is $199 or lower. You pay nothing now. When ordering opens you decide whether to order at your locked price.
How is this different from the bloodwork my doctor ordered?
A standard panel is a handful of broad summary measures that tell you inflammation exists somewhere, not which part of your immune system is active. Mune Mirror measures 1,000+ individual immune and inflammation proteins, including the cytokines, interferons and immune checkpoints that routine bloodwork does not cover, and places each one against a healthy reference rather than a population range.
What can this actually tell me, and what can it not?
It can show you where your immune and inflammation proteins sit relative to a healthy reference, and, if you test again, whether they moved. It cannot tell you which condition you have. No blood panel can name the cause of your symptoms, and we will not pretend otherwise. The report is built to be read with your own doctor.
Is my data private?
Mune Biotech is a health technology company, not a medical provider. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, handled under a HIPAA business associate agreement, and we never sell identifiable data.
Is this a subscription?
No. A reservation locks a price for one Mune Mirror™ kit, and an order, when ordering opens, is one test for one payment. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel. Most people who are tracking a change do test again after three to six months, but that is a decision you make later, not something we sign you up for now.
What happens after I get my results?
The report is yours to download and bring to your own doctor. It places each marker against a healthy reference so the two of you have something concrete to discuss, alongside your history and how you are actually feeling.
Do you take insurance, HSA or FSA?
No. Mune Mirror is a self-pay test and is not HSA or FSA eligible. There is no insurance billing and no surprise invoice afterwards: the price on this page is the full price.
How long does it take?
Once your sample arrives at the laboratory, results are ready in about 14 days. Every report is read by our Stanford researchers before it reaches you, and you get an email the moment it is live.
